This is obviously if I owned the computer company. With minimal financial resources, I don’t have the ability to get most of the items. So, we will assume that I would have everything I would wish to have. With that said, I will create a Senitrus Account before I receive my systems. I will also download the xml files that the setup process also for you to create. You can learn more about setting up an account on another page. I will go all out, and get multiple of items such as follows:

Yes, that would be a lot of items, and someone might think that I would spend an entire day setting things up. Quite the contrary. The first thing I will need to do is start plugging my handhelds into electrical outlets. Since everything uses USB-C for charging, this will not be an issue. I will then plug in the clock into the bedroom, and the NAS will go into the communications closet to be out of sight, and out of mind. I will start by setting up my notebook. I will eject the tray, and insert the nanoSIM? card along with a 2TB microSD card. I will insert the tray, and in then insert the SD card with the config files. Once I turn it on, it will recognize the settings from the config files, and verify everything is correct. It will then ask some questions to where I will answer honestly. The cellular connection will be asked if I wish to make it a primary, or secondary. I will choose the second option.
Once done with that, I will go to the communications closet, and acquire the MAC addresses of all of the servers, and NAS. This will be important as I would want everything to have a static IP address. Since all of the servers are Senitrus Based, I can go into the Network icon on my notebook once it is generated. As I turn on servers, I will configure one at a time. I will insert the appropriate microSD cards into the servers, and install them into the rackmount. Since the network is essential for everything else to work, I will start with the network server (Router on Steroids). I will insert the SD Card into the SD card slot of the network server, and turn it on. Like with the PC, the network server will acquire all relevant information and connect to the internet. Once that happens, my notebook will have a network icon. Double clicking the Network Icon will bring up the network server, and 2 green lines to the internet (assuming nothing is wrong with the connections). I will then be able to setup a VPN server controls. This will allow me to plug my devices that are internet connected, and connect directly to my home network so I can access the LAN?. For example, it will allow me to print to my printer even if I am at a friend’s house. This will be because of the VPN. Once VPN is setup on the network server, I will be able to print while I am not home, but have the prints ready for me. I will also have access to my 80TB NVME NAS without anything special other than adding the VPN connection. This will be important for the NVME NAS box that would still need to setup, however keeping the VPN will allow me to connect to this NVME even if I am not home.
Next, I will setup my media server. During time of constriction, I will acquire an external hard drive enclosure, and place a 40TB 3.5″ drive. This will store my media files that I would have bought, and need a place for everything. This drive will be in a format that both Linxu, and MacOS will support. Once I buy the media server, I will setup the media server, and move all of the files to the media server. This will likely take some time, so I will make time for it. This will be one of the reason this is done immediately after my network server.
Next, I will insert the SD card into the Home Server, and turn the server on. After about 5-10 minutes, the home server will be able to support Matter protocols. The Home Server will show up on the LAN of the network. I will be able to setup any scenes, and other features of a Home Server. This will assure that I will have everything operating as I see fit. For example during bedtime, the hall lights will be off unless motion is detected.
Next, I will insert the SD card into the LAMP Server. As with the Home Server, the LAMP server will be up and running within 10 minutes. I will then setup the domains, and subdomains. I will also setup email services including catch-all. Catch-all must go to the same domain?/subdomain?. I will log into my network server, and give internet accessibility to the LAMP server since it would be intended on replacing my host?. I will likely download my current host’s configuration to my LAMP server. I will definitely have to use a text editor to edit various config files for the change of hosts.
Next is the storage server. This will be the most complicated as there is not just setup everything, and make it all work. I will have to create pools, and define users (if there are any beyond me). I will make the storage server as a backup, and archive server. If I was to have additional people living with me, they will need their own backup pool, and their own archival pool. The storage server will also have to format all of the drives to use as a NAS.
Next is the telephony server. I will insert the configuration file from the SD card, and start it up. Once the telephony server is up and running, I will log into the telephony server, and setup my accounts. My SIP provider gives me extensions to my account. I will just match the extensions. Since I do have a telephony server, I will use the server for all of my communications needs. The following will be:
- Ext 101: Home Phone (Personal) [Phone-W]
- Ext 102: Faxes/Voicemail [ML-P]
- Ext 103: Family IVR
The telephony server will have a setup where the server will pick up on the fax/voicemail on the first ring, and listen for 2 seconds for a fax tone. If it detects one, it will collect the fax, and send it as a .pdf file to my email address. If no fax tone is detected, it will send the caller to voicemail. My printer will eventually use 102 as the outgoing fax connection. As for setting up passwords, this was all done when setting up my Senitrus ID, and therefore the .xml files.
Last as far as the communications room will go will be the NVME NAS. Once setup, it will allow me to treat the NAS as a drive on my icon. My Backup will be Z:/ (Storage Server), My archives will be Y:/ (Storage Server), and this NAS will be X:/. Since my cellular enabled devices will have VPN turned on, access to this NAS will be as simple as connecting to X:/.
Now that I am done with the communications closet, it will be time to work on my handhelds. I will start with my cellular phone as this will be the most work. I will plug my cellular phone into the USB-C Port of the computer. The two devices will talk to each other, and I will receive a popup on both devices with regards to joining my circle. I will select yes to both, and the more communication will carry on. The computer will let me know I can unplug, and continue using it. I will then plug my old phone into the Phone-P, and transfer contacts, messages, call longs, and Cellular Settings. The microSD card will be 2TB? for personal files storage.
Next, I will plug in my wifi? Phone. I will connect my cellular phone to the wifi phone. This connection will essentially mimic the config settings file providing all of the networks, and settings that are to be done. And since the network server knows which is the telephony server, the wifi phone will get Ext 101 automatically downloaded to the phone. Since this device is not likely to need media files, and its most significant role is telephone calls, I will keep 64GB? for the microSD card.
Next is the PDA. As wit the Phone=W, I will plug the PDA into the smartphone, and it would download the settings, and ask to join the network which I will say yes to both. The joining of the network is a security tool. It prevents mistaken networks, and prevent hackers from joining your circle even if they have my password, and somehow bypass the 2FA. Once the PDA is installed.
Next is the printer. I will use my SD card to plug into the printer. Once I turn it one, it will download my settings even though it would likely not need wifi since I will connect it directly to the LAN. The network server will also know to push ext 102 to the printer. This will allow the credentials to be long and complex, and the reason for recording the MAC address.
Once the printer is done, it is now time to address the TVs. Since the TV does not have an SD card reader, I will use the USB-C port to connect to one of my handhelds. It will download the particular information it needs. Since it detects that there is a LAN connection, it would not need to download wifi settings. The TV’s microSD card slot is exclusively for channel recording.
Once the TVs are done, ti will be time to setup my accessories. Once done, I will be finished. As you can see, I wouldn’t need to enter a long and complex password for my Senitrus ID. This is because of the config.xml file. Since everything is done automatically, it would assure that the file should be kept safe. If I didn’t have the configuration file, I would have to manually type in my Senitrus ID, and password each time which will be time consuming even in the best of conditions.
