Senitrus ID is very important to work in the Senitrus Ecosystem. This process will go through how to setup your Senitrus ID, and even downloading configuration files. Once you get one device setup, everything else is simple to where the adding future devices will be as simple as using the 1 meter optional USB-C cable. You can setup a Senitrus ID on your first computer, or handheld but this will be more cumbersome when you just want to get up and running. The steps are intended to make your life easier, make it easier to deliver support help, and add important information to your wallet. Your wallet is the program in charge of storing, and managing passwords, and card information.
Step 1: Identity
The first thing to do is setup your Senitrus Identity. This will be your legal name, and mailing address. Your mailing address will be added to your wallet for when you need a package mailed to you. Your legal name is so tech support can address you properly. Also, if you have a unique name, it will be added to your account’s dictionary. You will also need to provide your legal mailing address which is where your recovery information will go to if you get locked out of your account.
You will now provide your date of birth. If you are under 16, your guardians will need to add you to the Senitrus Family. This is to protect children from doing things they aren’t allowed to do. You will need to provide the correct birthday as there might be features that will be age restricted. While I don’t see any of that happening, it is possible. If your guardian bought you a Senitrus computer or handheld, then they would have likely already created your Senitrus ID, and will give you the config file for setting up your account.
You will also want to provide your credit/debit card information. This will allow you to store the information into the wallet, and make it available anytime you make an online purchase. This will include paying for Senitrus items or services. If you do not provide a card information, that is fine, but making purchases will require that you pull your card out everytime to enter the information as opposed to selecting which card you wish to use.
Step 2: Verification
You would need to provide at least one email? address, and one telephone number. If you have an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, then you would want to prepare to use that as well. This will be done to protect your ID from bad actors that might use it nefariously. You are responsible for your own security, and Senitrus stores account information into 256bit encrypted databases.
If you have an authenticator app, you would open the app, add a new authentication process, and scan the QR code on the screen. You would then verify the 6 digit number that is in your authenticator app. You will also have Senitrus authenticator when you acquire your first PC or handheld. Assuming the site receives a 6 digit code that it was expecting, you can use this as a 2FA?. You will then want to verify your email address. You would provide the email and the system will send a 6 digit code for verification. Do not give it to anyone but the verification page. The same will go for your cellular phone. If you have no cellular phone, then you would receive a call with the number (English Only). If you lose your authenticator, then this will become a backup.
Step 3: Variations
There is some information that would be different based on the device you will be using the configuration file for. For example, your printer does not care about your social networks whereas a PC and handheld will. Obviously, there will be some things that will apply to all such as your Senitrus ID and password, but this will be limited.
You would set up anything regarding to routers, espectially if the IP address from your ISP? is static. Printers will require the wifi? network it will connect to along with the passphrase. Your printer will need a SIP? address if it supports FOIP.
Your handhelds will require SIP addresses if supported, and both your PC and handheld will require social networks, and online storage systems such as Dropbox. The goal will be to work with the online storage providers to provide a seamless connection without the need for an app. In both devices, the accounts will be where this information will go to.
Step 4: Contacts
You would want to go through all of the services that has contacts, and download them. In most cases, this will likely be an .vcf, or .xml file. These settings will be uploaded to the Senitrus Servers, and be made available to all of your devices, especially computers and handhelds.
Step 5: Activate
You would now provide a password. The password should be 20 characters long, but a minimum of 6 is will be needed. This is not necessarily the password you would use to log into your computers, and each computer can have a unique password. However, your Senitrus ID password will be for your Senitrus ID. There are some conditions though. The conditions are as follows:
- 1 Capital Letter
- 1 Lowercase Letter
- 1 Number
- 1 Special Character
- No Dictionary Word
- No sequential patterns (such as abc, or 123)
- No 3 repeating characters (such as aaa, or 111)
- Not Senitrus ID (on change)
Once you provided your password, you would then start the activation process, and you will receive your Senitrus ID. You will also receive your Senitrus ID via email, and SMS. Your password will not be included for security reasons. If you forget your password (should use a password manager), then you can do a recovery. Make sure you lock down your phone from SIM Swapping?. Also, make sure your email address is properly secured including making it difficult for anyone to guess. If you use webmail, then your browser should be managing your passwords.
